I absolutely love reading books to my twins, but especially holiday books. This list of kids Christmas books will help you bring some Christmas magic to your little one’s bedtime.

They also make great gifts for during the holiday season.

We love the classic Little Blue Truck book, so it was an easy decision to get this book when deciding which Christmas board books we wanted to get.

I love the way that these books read. In this book, Little Blue Truck delivers Christmas trees to all of his friends. It was written by Alice Schertle and illustrated by Jill McElmurry.

2. The Night Before The Night Before Christmas

The Night Before The Night Before Christmas was written by Natasha Wing and illustrated by Mike Lester. We love The Night Before series.

They rhyme and are a fun take on Twas The Night Before Christmas. Make sure to read this book on December 23rd.

3. How The Grinch Stole Christmas

Dr. Suess books are so fun to read and How The Grinch Stole Christmas is no exception. It’s a classic Christmas story that we love.

4. Little Critter: Merry Christmas, Little Critter!

Merry Christmas, Little Critter by Mercer Mayer is a fun Christmas book. It is a lift the flap book. Little Critter does lots of festive activities like baking cookies and decorating the tree.

5. Llama Llama Jingle Bells

Llama Llama Jingle Bells was written by Anna Dewdney. Llama Llama and his friends have a merry Christmas of giving gifts, singing songs, and more.

6. The Berenstain Bears and The Joy of Giving

This is a must-have for your Christmas book collection. You’ll want to read it throughout December, but kids love reading it on Christmas Eve.

9. The Polar Express

The Polar Express was written by Chris Van Allsburg. It has beautiful illustrations in it. This book is about a boy who gets on a magical train to the North Pole.

10. Bear Stays Up For Christmas

Bear Stays Up For Christmas is about a bear who’s friends are determined to have him stay up for Christmas instead of hibernating through it.

They get a Christmas hang stockings, and more. This book is written by Karma Wilson and illustrated by Jane Chapman.

11. Olaf’s Frozen Adventure

This book is the same story as the TV special with the same name. Olaf goes around town asking what people’s traditions are so that he can bring some back to Anna and Elsa.

Everything goes wrong along the way though. My twins love watching this on Disney+ so we knew we had to get the book of it.

I saw that it was one of the books in the Disney Storybook Advent Calendar, so we bought that this year. You can get it here.

12. The Littlest Reindeer

The Littlest Reindeer was written by Brandi Dougherty and illustrated by Michelle Todd.

Dot is the littlest reindeer in the North Pole, but she is determined to help Santa Claus fly his sleigh. Brandi Dougherty is a New York Times best selling author.

Elfie The Elf is about a girl who becomes friends with an elf in the North Pole. It was written by Cheryl DeVleeschouwer and illustrated by Christian J. Gaitan.

14. How To Catch An Elf

How to Catch an Elf is a funny Christmas children’s book. It was written by Adam Wallace and illustrated by Andy Elkerton.

15. Construction Site On Christmas Night
